Born in Wooster, Ohio, John Vohlers is a highly experienced producer. At the beginning of his career, he moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he worked at Old Tucson Studios. Hungry to be involved in anything film, John started out doing some extra work. You might see him in the film” Tom Horn” if you look close enough.
The next and obvious stop for John was Los Angeles. He was working in post-production, and then transitioned into onset PA work. From there, he became an electrician, and spent time learning the other crafts which allowed him to develop a unique set of skills that sets him apart from other producers today.
As his career and love for production progressed, he began sharpening his assistant directing skills, working non-union until he banked enough hours to join the union. Because of John’s passion for film and production, he has had the opportunity to wear many different hats on a variety of different projects throughout the years, making him a truly invaluable asset to any team. Credits include: JUSTIFIED (FX), Emmy nominated UNBELIEVABLE (CBS/Netflix), and YELLOWSTONE (Paramount).
And a fun fact about John, James Garner was the star of his student film, which marks his producing debut!
